She Hit Pause Studios
Recently, I bought some art. Not the kind you could pick up at Bed, Bath & Beyond, but the kind you get from a young, talented artist at the Brooklyn Flea Market.

Matt Schwartz’s photography work has been described as “walking into a memory” as he takes a twist on modern pin-up girls. His distressed film gives way to these beautiful muted colors, being just provocative enough to become interesting.

Supporting local artists and building a unique collection of work is one of the best benefits I get from living in Brooklyn. I still have to save up before I purchase an original, but the results are worth it. I’m extremely pleased with these two pieces and highly encourage people to check out their local artist markets.
